App Store Insights is a Chrome browser extension that displays public analytics data on Apple App Store pages. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

Data Collection

We DO NOT collect, store, or transmit any personal data.

This extension:

• Does NOT track your browsing history
• Does NOT collect personal information
• Does NOT use cookies or analytics
• Does NOT sell or share any user data

How the Extension Works

1. The extension activates only when you visit Apple App Store pages (apps.apple.com)
2. It extracts the app ID from the current page URL
3. It fetches public analytics data from Sensor Tower’s API
4. It displays this data directly in your browser

All data processing happens locally in your browser. Nothing is stored or transmitted to our servers (we don’t have any servers).

Third-Party Services

The extension uses Sensor Tower’s public API to fetch app analytics data. Please review Sensor Tower’s Privacy Policy for information about their data practices.

Permissions

The extension requires these permissions:

• activeTab: To detect Apple App Store pages and inject the analytics widget
• Host permissions (apps.apple.com, app.sensortower.com): To access Apple App Store pages and fetch analytics data

These permissions are used exclusively for the extension’s core functionality.
